Hundreds of cultures and thousands of cultivars. Small perrenial plants and big lane trees as well. So diverse is the tree nursery sector. Individual research institutes and experimental stations are only able to investigate a small part of this field. Researchers and nurserymen therefore like to learn from foreign colleagues.
A recent Dutch trend is that nurserymen with container grown cultures more and more implement techniques already in practice by growers of potted plants.
